I guess you mean the 'Empire' defeated the Nazi German regime. I would say, one group of parties embeded in the 'Empire' (the 'allies') were fighting for control of the Empire against another party in the culture (the Axis). Both these forces were just players for power in the industrial culture. Jensen is right in what he says. I disagree with him only in that he seems to believe that anyone could really do anything to stop this industial 'empire' from destroying most of the life on Earth. I am convinced we are doomed.
